How far in advance do I need to book an estate sale service?

A month or two out would be ideal. Call us today or fill out the form on our contact page for a free consultation to make sure you reserve the date you need for your sale.

How much do you charge for an in-home consultation?

We know your time is precious, so we have a process that is seamless with no upfront cost to you. Our in-home consultations are free. If we determine that an estate sale is not right for you, we will provide you with alternative options.

Do I need to prepare for the free in-home consultation?

Yes, remove all items that will not be for sale.  If you are unable to remove these items, they should be marked as “not for sale” prior to a consultation. Do not throw anything away.  At times, families will do a quick clean prior to consultation due to a mess, not realizing they are throwing away items that have a value. Leave the sorting to us.

Do I have enough items for an estate sale?

Typically, at least 70% of the household contents is needed for an estate sale. Generally, a well-furnished house qualifies for an estate sale. Please inform us before the consultation if there’s a low volume of merchandise, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

How much do you charge?

Our fees are determined by various factors, including the size of the estate, the items to be liquidated and the specific services requested, ensuring fair pricing regardless of the circumstances prompting the need for our assistance. All fees are taken from the liquidation of the estate and not charged on the front end.

What happens after the in-home consultation?

After the initial consultation, we begin the process of setting up your sale. Our team will clean, sort, price, market and sell the contents of the estate.

How much time do you need to plan for an estate sale?

In most cases, we need a minimum of two weeks to prepare, plan, and promote your estate sale.

What is the format of your estate sales?

We offer two sale formats: Traditional and Online sales. Our Traditional sales operate as fixed-price events, open to the public for walk-ins during the published sale dates and times. Our Online sales are hosted on a national auction site, where site registration is required to bid. Traditional sales are well-suited for high-volume or large homes, while Online sales offer a less intrusive option, perfect for homes with unique or rare items, as well as properties with low volume but high-quality items. Online sales are also ideal for properties lacking sufficient parking or for homeowners who prefer minimal foot traffic inside the house.

How long will the estate sale run?

Our estate sales run from 2-5 days depending on the size of the estate.

What will happen at the end of the estate sale?

The homeowner ultimately decides, however, it’s common for a ‘clean-out’ service to be performed. This service ensures all remaining contents are cleared out, leaving the house broom-swept clean.
